Book the Village Hall

The Hall is available for hire to organisations, businesses and individuals in accordance with the Hiring Policy and the Standard Conditions of Hire. During the booking process you will be asked to confirm that you have read and accepted our Standard Conditions of Hire.

The Hall is available to hire Monday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to the following 1 a.m.

This spacious venue provides a multitude of options for your event or activity from birthday parties and charity fundraisers to regular classes and activities (e.g. fitness, dance and parties).

Hire rates

Sessions to include 30 minutes set up and 30 minutes clear up. 

Availability: All bookings are subject to availability, check our bookings calendar, below, before you get in touch. 

Commercial events: Charges depend on the requirements for use. Please contact the Bookings Secretary through the email address as above for further details.

Tables and chairs can be hired for outside events. Price on application.

East Cowton Village Hall Management Committee reserves the right to charge an additional rate for any costs incurred due to extra cleaning or damage to the hall by the hirer during its period of hire, as per item 11 of our Standard Terms and Conditions of Hire. This may be in the form of a one off fee or an increase in the per session fee, whichever the Management Committee deems appropriate.

Alcohol Licence: We do not hold an alcohol licence. If a hirer intends to sell alcohol, they must apply to the local authority for a Temporary Entertainments Licence. See North Yorkshire Council's website. A licence is also required if alcohol is included in the ticket price of an event. A copy of the licence will need to be provided.

We can apply for a licence for your event at a small additional fee.

Alcohol provided free or brought by guests to an event does NOT need a licence.
